I completely agree! If I spend 18 hours on a plane, I would like to know that the plane is going to last the duration of the flight... but imagine that... 18 hours

Back in the 90's I flew from Frankfurt to San Francisco none stop a couple of times. It was 14 hours. Fortunately it was at the time when proper inflight entertainment was just starting and the seat back system was being introduced. To be honest, I had no problem. I was entertained, fed and watered (read alcoholed..

). Every now and then I would walk the cabin to stretch my legs and move the blood about my body. So 14 hours or 18 hours, I can't really see any difference.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
