Modified C-17

This is obviously a heavily modified C-17 used here, but the placement of the additional horizontal stabilizers & engines at the rear makes me wonder stability & about those two rear engines sucking in dirty air from engines 2 & 3 in the front
Anybody up for a discussion on this?
