..then run my Flight Sim Cessna 150 to explore the location!

Info: The town of Tewkesbury lies some 24 miles East of my town of Hereford. England.

My all time fav cowboy stuff was the Maverick TV series from the late 50's with James Garner, Jack Kelly, and sometimes Roger Moore. Altho a TV series, not a movie, each episode was 1 hour in length with a lot of variety from episode to episode. Well written plots, not particularly violent, and of course excellent acting. They were running these recently on Sat nights on some local network station, and pretty much ran thru the entire gamut of episodes, broadcasting 4 episodes each Sat night. Never a dull moment. All in B&W, it was before color TV became the norm.

For me, the old Cowboy films give me an insight to the desert scenery of the South Western USA, and a chance to visit it in my Flight Sim.
The sort of scenery which doesn't exist in my country!

The films are also describe the history, and show the life of the folks who lived there in the 1800's.

Wikipedia holds a wealth of that information, which I regularly delve into!.... ...!

The "Dirty Harry" and "Streets of San Francisco", etc, films all add to my knowledge of the 'Frisco Bay area scenery...

...and "Colombo" for the Los Angeles scenery...all adding to the enjoyment on my daily flights!!

Lots of interesting things regarding the; "Wild West"...I get riveted to it!... ...!

I spend hours zooming down in the Satellite scenery and wandering around!

After 15+ years of wandering around this scenery in the various Flight Sims I have now become so familiar with it that I shout out; "I know that place", "been there", as I watch the films!...I even describe it in detail to myself!... ...!
