What one country finds normal can be big trouble in another. This chap is in very deep poop right now. To own stuff like that in Germany is very hard to do and without the correct authorisation, it is a prison offence. Even digging up a bent rusty barrel from the First World war and not handing it in will get you a serious fine and possible prison time. The law is very strict on military hardware of any shape of description in Germany that is in the weapons category. Basically, the rule of thumb is, it is illegal to posses or own.

I am interested to see what happens to this chap as he is 80 odd years old. I will keep you posted.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Houses in Germany, the cellar is in most cases the same size as the house that is standing on it.........Except for mine, I have no cellar as I view then as storage facilities for 20 plus years of crap you think may one day come in handy.......
