Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Canada...148 years old...

We have quite a few plans to help celebrate Canada's Birthday today however the weather does not look like it will co-operate for some of the activities... :(

Off to the local bugsmasher field later this morning to assist with cooking Hamburg's, Hotdogs, Bacon, Onions (lots of onions) and the ladies have made many types of salads and deserts...

At 07:40 it is raining and the weatherman calls for thunderstorms most of the day. This will put a damper on the flying activities.

I so wanted to see what some of those Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers have learned since last year...you know things like...
-Push the aeroplanes nose down while in the air and the trees get bigger...
-Pull the aeroplanes nose up while in the air and the trees get smaller...
Little things like that...

For Dinner we are going to the Old Homestead to eat steaks, baked potatoes with butter and sour cream (meat and taters done on the BBQ).
I am sure there will be several selections of salads and desserts...

Hope all of you Canucks have a wonderful time celebrating our Nations Birthday today... :D
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Happy Birthday, Canada!

I'd celebrate by rounding up some folks, piling into the old Stoneboat, and flying to some secluded lake for some nice fishing. Then, have a nice Shore Lunch afterward, sampling what we caught.

Thanks for a great day. Well it was here in Lillooet,BC. 40 degrees and comfortable. Cooked up a feast on the Barbie. Costco steak cut into 3's make a great steak. 3 minutes a side on the Weber. Gotta say a Pimms #1 original goes down well too. Nobody here has heard of Pimms, but I can't seem to make enough of it. George has taken delivery of his new Mooney (well new for him) and if his back doesn't play up we might get to fly later. tata
