...at the daily news coming from various cities all around the USA......

Latest eruption of violence...>>>

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-32490250

...going back for decades...

I get daily news sent to me via my e-mail from news stations all around the USA and I get the feeling that America will forever rue the day that it imported black slaves from Africa, long ago?

Reading the daily news, every USA town-ship has its ethnic clashes, and the above illustrates the typical problems, in extreme.

.....just a very worrying thought from me, which spoils my daily routine.......

Any thoughts from my Sim Chums?

OOOWEEE... Baltimore.. What the hell!

It's gettin' real bad in the U.S. I have to say though, With what these police have been doing lately,
I can definetly understand the anger. But!.. with that being said, what those idiots are doing in Baltimore
Maryland, helps absolutely nothing. It's Ridiculous!!

Paul, did you see that video of that IDIOT cop shooting Walter Scott in the BACK. For a routine traffic stop.
I have never watched that video on YouTube. I seen enough of it on the local news when it happend.
MAN!.. I've never been so angry about that kind of thing in my life.

I don't know what some of these cops are thinking. They Just keep pooring that gas on the fire.. Crazy!

If things don't change (And I Mean Fast) in America, It's going to crash and burn!!!

A truly shocking sight, Blaze.
The details only caught on camera by accident!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCh8HhZ3Bww

More from Baltimore: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-32458096

Quote:
"Patricia Trousdale, Baltimore protester, said: "That could have been my son. I want to respect the police, and we do need protection, but I'm scared of them. Any time they can kill you in broad daylight and get way with it. They talk about gangs? Most notorious gang is the police."
End quote:

I watch this sort of out-of control, high on adrenalin, gun-toting, videoed police activity every day on my TV via; CBS Reality show: "Cops"...>>>

http://www.cbsreality.tv/uk/shows.php?title=Cops

The police violence is so great that I am surprised that not more private citizens suffer fractured faces, broken and dislocated arms and legs, etc, in attempts to restrain and handcuff them...and all caught on camera, and in great detail for public viewing.

As the lady above describes: "The most notorious gangs are the Police".....and protected by Law?

I find it all quite shocking.

All of this, on both sides, can be attributed to the "ME" generation. A self centered culture that developed in the '50s and picked up speed over the years.

"I have a right to express myself, F you if you don't like it." Self restraint be damned.

I've worked in police stations installing security equipment, and can say that the majority of the police are good, well intentioned people.

But when watching that video I thought back to a couple of cops that I've met over the years, who's attitude was a VERY belligerent "I'M IN CHARGE HERE. DON'T QUESTION ME!"

On the other hand - Who in their right mind would want to be a Baltimore cop when the mayor of Baltimore supports the protesters & rioters more than the rule of law?

Protest. Fine.

Riot, burn, and loot?

Listen. To. The. Words. They were carefully chosen.

It is a wonderful scenario of 'yellow journalism' and fear mongering.

The VAST majority of cops are the best of our society. But the media does not report that. There is a significant lack of understanding and WILLINGNESS to understand. Very little news coverage is garnered lately when a young cop is lost in the line of duty. In my current area a few years ago a BRAND NEW officer got his head smashed in while he was trying to calm down an abusive husband and protect the suspects own battered wife. Examples of chivalry like that are no longer in the news and it is NOT because they are not happening...it is because fear & drama sells. White cop shooting black civilian sells. Racial drama sells. Anger sells.

TO show some positive, I bet no one on here saw this from this past christmas:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlnxajQrL8w

Why would CNN share this versus drama? THey would not. Stop the violence by remembering we are all human and think freely. Embrace and forgive. But that is NOT what is being discussed, anger, violence, and finger pointing is.

Let communities solve their own issues without the rest of the world prying in. SHOCKING NOTION!!!

There have always been riots in the past, in different countries around the World. We have suffered our fair share!

The difference now, is due to the World Wide Web; where everyone can see and hear what is going on, and the underlying reasons for the unrest.

Hopefully, the reasons with become universally obvious, and maybe folks will take the time to correct the mistakes, wherever they occur.
Baltimore residents, at the present time, are getting together and trying to put back together the damage caused, whilst still wanting answers to the underlying problems, which, from my daily observations (around the USA), is going to be very difficult to achieve with its various, ever increasing, cultural clashes in various hot spots.

Before I start each of my USA Sim Flights each day, I fire up the local weather forecasts beforehand, and in doing so, reveal the latest Local and National news from the area....and its ALWAYS bad news in its various forms, fed by drugs, alcohol, firearms...and general dissatisfaction with just about everything.

Violence seems to be ingrained in the populous.

My daily dose of local Flight Sim news....>>> http://kron4.com/category/news/california-news/

...including the weather forecast for my Sim Flying!.... :D ...!

The problem with Baltimore is who runs it. You figure out the party politics bull crap going on there. This paper usually sides with the party in control over there. But this takes the cake here.
Dude was so butt hurt over being arrested for God knows how many times he has been in jail for things he actually did, no trumped up charges selling weed and Heroin. But I guess he figured he would give it to the cops and slam himself around the inside of the van and appear with injuries. Another riot for another lie.
SMH!

Every day I read the news of all the abject violence and mayhem going on all around the USA, and it surprises me that the folks living there can actually live long enough to grow old!

A very unhappy society, for all sorts of reasons.

To understand the mentality behind this.(Both Cops and Robbers) One has to understand the mentality behind the right to carry arms and use them. I don't belong there and so I don't claim to understand. I'm just glad I don't live there. It's bad enough living in a society that allows law enforcers to carry arms, yet disallows it's citizens from wearing a bullet proof vest. Canadians can't even armor proof their cars, let alone build a house with no windows. But at least, if I don't have anything to do with drugs, prostitution, or any criminal activity, I know my chances of getting shot are a lot less than in the USA.

I don't understand why people continue to say, "Why doesn't the US just ban individual gun ownership?"

The US doesn't ban individual gun ownership because its constitution, which overrules any other state or federal law, explicitly forbids it. You might as well say, "I don't like the people who are elected to office in the US. Why don't they ban free elections?" or "I don't like what FOX (or CNN or MSNBC) says. Why doesn't the US ban them?"

Rant over. Nothing personal intended.
