Less than .....

Postby Flying Trucker » Fri Mar 20, 2015 6:09 am

Goodly morning all... <<q

Cobourg Ontario is just thirty (30) minutes down the road towards Hog Town (Toronto Ontario) from us.

I forgot all about this, but my grandfather and dad took the family to see this, now that was from the old homestead which would be a hours drive away now but back then perhaps a three hour drive one way...

Wonderful read:

How soon we forget these things...

Oh and if you thought my old grey matter was working and I remembered this...nope...one of our grandchildren who plays hockey played against a Cobourg Hockey Team and they were talking about this...when he asked me of course I told him I remembered that incident... :naughty:

Thanks for sharing this (Like Paul Said) fascinating story Doug.
This flight was cursed from the get-go. Sure glad it had a happy
ending though.

Made me think of that Twilight Zone episode... the one where that
Douglas DC-3 landed with no passengers or flight crew.

Don't ask me why!...

I really like the Larry Wilson version of this story. That must have
really been something for a young boy back then. Hell, I still remember
when that helicopter landed near are house when I was about seven
or eight yrs old. He offered me a ride but my mom wouldn't let me
go.. :angry-jumpinganger:

Good reading Doug, I enjoyed that. I've been to Cobourg several times for work related things.

Right glad you all enjoyed the read... ;)

You know there are so many unpublished aviation, land and sea events many folks would not believe could have happened.

I always find it fascinating to read an event like this...

You know, I just had a dream about this very thing, most likely because
I read Larry W's story.

It was kinda jumbled and incoherent. But then this kinda thing would be
wouldn't it?

Very dark, people running around in front of me like black silhouette in the
dark. I remember hearing the initial crash.. but couldn't see it. Freaky!

This story must have impacted me more then I thought! :shifty: ... NEAT!

Great story and wonderful all people survived. Wished the same had happened with the plane that crashed in the Alps yesterday.
