Everything you know about St. Patrick's Day is wrong

St. Patrick's Day celebrations began in the 18th century in American cities with large Irish immigrant populations. The population of Ireland is about 4.2. million. In contrast, there are around 34 MILLION people of Irish descent living in America.

Kind of ironic in the UK though, St Patrick's day, big party, St Andrew's day, big party, St David's day, big party................St George's day, you are a racist and should hang your head in shame. And if you dare to put up the cross of St George, someone will report you to the police................

My sincere apologies for using the "UK" moniker; originally I was going to list Countries, but was afraid I would leave someone out.

I guess using 'UK' wasn't such a good idea, either... but y'all know what I mean.

Great Britain is the acceptable term for England, Scotland and Wales (not too sure about the Isle of Wight!) :-D
United Kingdom is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (and I'm still not too sure about the Isle of Wight!) :-D
Meanwhile announcing you've got a flag of St. George in the UK will immediately have you branded as a bigoted moron, football loving, Jeremy Clarkson apologist... which is a little bit unfair. I don't like football, I'm not a bigot, nor do I apologise for Clarkson... oh wait, I've not got a flag of St. George :-D
