The temps have bee well below freezing for quite a while. S when it started to rain heavily....

3 feared dead as ice sparks multi-vehicle crashes, shutting down Schuylkill, Blue Route

This is about three miles from my house. Not Good.

The police had to bring in busses to transport people to the hospitals.

And my wife wanted to drive to get a paper. :o

I was barely able to stop her.

People will never learn.

1. When the weather turns bad, slow down just a little and pay more attention to what is going on in front of you.

2. Watch down the road for taillights. You may have to back off of the bumper of the person in front of you in order to see what is going on a little further down the road.

3. Bridges always freeze first. It's from cold air under the bridge. If you are approaching a bridge that looks wet or frozen, get your foot off of the gas and try to coast over the ice so you don't loose traction.

4. And for God sakes, put those stupid phones away when you are in your car. You are not that important that you have to be in constant contact with the rest of the world in order to let them know what it is that you are doing right now.

5. And last but not least - - - - HOLY CRAP that was close. I need to stop trying to post messages while on the interstate in all this traffic !!!

From what I see, a monstrous FAIL goes out to all the driver's education staff. I really do not see how this could happen unless everyone involved was brain-dead or just plain sucked at driving. It might be the location sucked but if in doubt.. stay home!

Personally, (depending on how close the traffic is) I watch at least the two cars ahead of the car in front of me.

But to be fair to the people in the area, they just aren't used to black ice.

On top of that, it was raining quite heavily, without melting the ice.

QUESTION

If a car was rolled between two tractor trailers, is it a rolls?

And, yes, he is alive.

Although I wouldn't want to see his underwear.

But in all serious, when the conditions get bad , slow down and get off them highways as soon as you can.
