Merry Christmas

Postby Flying Trucker » Thu Dec 25, 2014 5:11 am

Goodly morning all... :violin:

It is 04:53 here and as customary I have phoned most of our Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Friends who have children to tell them Santa Clause has been...

This year is the first time we have stayed home in a long time since we left the Old Homestead but will be going to the Old Homestead later to day to see many of our family and friends. Of course we will have to stop at the bugsmasher field to give the Land Rover time to say Merry Christmas to all her flying friends and we may enjoy a wobbly pop or a hot toddy with other True Believers of Santa Clause, that bunch of Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers... :o

The Old Girl is starting to move about as this is a big day for her, cooking and keeping me on course...

Two Royal Canadian Air Force fighter jets have just returned and are orbiting overhead, they must have escorted Santa Clause back to the North Pole...

This is a Cold Wet Christmas, a Green Christmas, we have not seen a Green Christmas or a Christmas without SNOW in many years. I even did my Snow Dance but Dear Mother Nature has other plans for us...

I mentioned the other day to the Old Girl it was not going to feel like Christmas without that Wonderful White Snow....She replied "it feels like Christmas every day with you around dear"...HMM...wonder if she expects a Christmas Gift :o :?:

Well it is time for another cup of percolated coffee and the Old Girl and I wish All of You a Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Happy New Year... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

A wonderful, warm, 6*C day, with brilliant sunshine, a clear blue sky, still air, high pressure, and nary a trace of snow or ice anywhere.... ....

...just the sort of day to keep me happy!

The Parrot is roasting gently in my trusty Gas Oven, and all the vegetables are quietly simmering in their pans.

Time to pop the tablecloth on the dining table, and lay out al the cutlery and various hot plates!

...Oh...and yet another glass of Californian Red Vino....HIC!

Its going to be a good day!

Paul.... ... ...!

Thanks for the replies gentlemen... ;)

As usual, I ate too much Christmas Dinner...

Had a hours ride in the Cessna 185...no snow...might have been a waste of time putting on the skis...

Just looking at all the leftovers we brought home this morning, our refrigerator is packed...

Well hope you all enjoyed Christmas Day as much as we did... :violin:
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
