I saw this two days ago when MS announced it and I thought about posting it on the software board. But.. I didn't. Why no windows 09? Because 10 sounds way more better. (that's actually MS marketing) I'm still pissed about Win 8.1! They just seem to keep selling new OS and have refused to improve what they have already sold us. Meanwhile the huge banking industry is still stuck with Win XP because of the huge problems and expense of constantly keeping up with MS follies.

Rant over..

Will Keep Windows 7.................as far as FSX goes, seems to be the most stable combo so far. I could be wrong.

Thinking back a bit.... ....

Windows XP, SP3, was my favourite. In fact my Windows 8.1 is actually set up to display in; "Classic Windows XP mode" for all its files and folders!

Windows 8 for me, has far too many quirky additions for my liking, and most of them completely unnecessary and confusing for general use.

..but it probably runs faster than Windows XP/Windows 7.... ...!

Paul...Sing: "When I'm cleaning windows!".... :D ...!

They say that Win 10 will be a free upgrade from Win 8,1. Then again I understand that it will be a regression to Win 7 anyway.

I saw the Windows 10 Tech Preview today, running on a Dell OptiPlex 760. From power button through boot to logon screen was 4 seconds. Shutdown took 2 seconds. I asked if the pc had an SSD in it, it was so quick. Nope, it was running a standard 7200-rpm HD with 8MB cache. Impressive. A Start Button was visible, but no My Computer icon, no Control Panel to be found.
