I can't make it this year. Have a good time.

I'm hoping to get to Dunsfold next Sunday if the weather cooperates. It doesn't look too promising at the mo.

It only chucks down at Dunsfold when I'm there for an airshow (and I'm not going this year), so hopefully the weather Gods will be on your side Doug ;-)

Last time I was at Dunsfold was for an engine change on a Harrier. It was needed short notice for the Bosnia Op. A 36 hour shift without a break.......Did not know what my name was at the end. However, I do recall it chucked it down then too

It didn't rain when I was last there in 2012. The dark clouds in the background made for some nice photos. :P https://picasaweb.google.com/111776794913843321815/DunsfoldWingsWheels2012?noredirect=1

I would be very surprised if they came all this way without a spare engine and quite a lot of spare parts. I don't know how long it takes to change, I bet they are not sat around twiddling their thumbs in the hangar........?

Matt

I see an engine is coming from Skegness. So a few hours from Conningsby. Add to that a hangar full of experienced BBMF technicians and maybe all is not lost.....?
