Goodly morning all... <<q

Well Valentines Day was on Friday, the 14th of February and it has come and gone.

http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/can ... entine-day

I bought the Old Girl a Heart Shaped Box of Mixed Chocolates along with:
-filled up the Land Rover
-washed the Land Rover
-did all the cooking on Friday
-did all the dishes on Friday
-did a little dusting and cleaning

She went and got her hair done as usual on Friday.
I paid for that also.

Now this being an aviation forum you are probably wondering why I am telling you all this.

Well we are off to the bugsmasher field today as it is a Holiday here in Ontario and all the stores are closed, many of the Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers and their Old Girls are meeting at the bugsmasher field about noon for a coupe of games of Bridge and a Pot Luck Dinner.

I won't be doing any aviating with anyone as my left foot is still too sore :violin:

Now the Old Girl just asked me when and where I was taking her for some Fine Dining :?:

The nerve...I bent over backwards on Friday for her, almost went to church on Sunday but my sore foot kept me home... :shifty: and now I am taking her to the bugsmasher field for an afternoon of entertainment and a Pot Luck Dinner...

Now I ask you, what more could a woman want :?:

P.S. I just pointed out to her none of you men posted anything about taking your better halves anywhere... :shhh: :shifty:

We tend to boycott the holiday at our house as everytime we have tried to do anything on valentines day we've ended up waiting hours for a table, etc.

I did however work from home last monday and was able to clean the house on my lunchbreak and have dinner waiting on the table when she got home and she received flowers at work on Tuesday.

What did I get from my wife? nothing but a hug and a thank you!

What did I get from three different ladies at work? First choice preferences on the sweets that they brought in :)

I spent my day lying in bed, sleeping, while one of my friends asked a girl out and the rest did the same as me.
