Breaking News : just coming over the wire !

Internet / phone provider Comcast to BUY - Time Warner Cable for 45 Billion dollar deal !

Tellin ya if this goes thru , the problems with internet and customer service will be tremendous, especially if you thought Time Warners customer service is Badd now - just wait !

If you thought Comcast internet and customer service is badd now, Uhhh just wait !

I see nothing but Problems from this just down the road !

Rates will Increase drastically $$$$$

poor lousy customer service , worse than what we have now from either company !

constant internet disruptions and all kinds of excuses as to why !

that HI- Speed your supposedly payin for - Ya, well you aren't really gonna be getting Hi-Speed, it'll be some kinda Speed ??

Another Big Corporate Company Monoply to Big to Manage effectively and properly, that'll end up in major Disaster down the road !

well, I'm afraid some of us, or, ALL of us are about to have some major Internet Difficulties down the road I'm afraid, I can see it coming to !

I don't get to choose my TV provider. I live in a condo that has a bulk agreement with Comcast so I'm stuck with them. All I know is that Comcast can barely manage to deliver a TV signal (mine goes out at least once a day) but I don't know if Time Warner was any better.

I've been with ATT for 3 years now, never had any problems, so I guess if it ain't broke, I ain't a-gonna fix it. Thanks for the heads up. I'll stay put.

Uh-oh: AT&T and Comcast are ecstatic about the FCC’s new chairman

As reported yesterday, the nominee is Tom Wheeler, a venture capitalist who was formerly a lobbyist at the top of the cable and wireless industries, leading the National Cable Television Association (NCTA) and Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA).

In congratulating Wheeler today, AT&T said it hopes the new FCC chairman will help get rid of "outdated laws" and "antiquated rules."

This is just more of that "change" we were promised.

the Future within a few months the internet is goin' to be all jacked up, and probably so high in price many of us will have to drop it, it'll be "un-affordable" as rates hover above 150.00 a month in the near future, that's just for internet and nothing else, I see it comin !

when I 1st got all this I was paying like 60.00 a month for everything, now its up to bout 107.00 a month for high speed roadrunner with digital phone thru Time Warner cable, I'm very limited here in Kansas City as to what I can get - AT&T can NOT truly deliver High Speed internet because they have NOT came thru the area and updated their lines, and their are no plans to, they say, this area I live in was built, developed in the 1940's and 50's era, and TWC only really caters to the newer Subdivisions within the last 10-15 years.

can't get any other service, and I've heard that even Verizon isn't that fast either and they too would have to go thru the excisting lines which are NOT capable of delivering High Speed internet -

tho YOU be billed and PAY for it like it was High Speed, you actually won't be getting it !

Mr. Jetman, we DO have high-speed internet.

Here's how I proved it.
From time to time my internet speed is really dragging.

But if I go to one of those internet speed test sites, my speed, suddenly, starts going FASTER than the speed of light!

When I leave the site, my speeds seem to drop back down to horse & buggy speeds.

I've heard that some viruses are like that. If it detects that you've launched a virus checker it stops & hides until the check is over.


Another way to see if you REALLY have high speed internet is look at your bill. If you're only paying around $100, you only have so-so speed.

If your monthly bill shows up faster than your download, You probably don't have high speed..
