Xmas Food Shopping...

Its Monday morning and the shops are open before Xmas, and I was thinking, (as a Heathen.. :D ...), what I need to shop for, for the Xmas Holiday; Xmas Day and Boxing Day dinners. I've just been compiling my shopping list to last for those two days while the shops are shut...
Bread.
Milk.
Various fresh Vegetables.
Pack of 8 Cumberland sausages, (2 per day)....(or a small chicken?).
1/2 Doz Eggs.
Tin of Scotch Broth for supper.
Couple of Apples?
(...maybe a pack of roast potatoes and Yorkshire Puddings?)
Perhaps a few other bits and bobs...maybe some sweets?

That should sort out my Xmas dinner requirements!... ...!

For liquid refreshment...a bottle of Mulled Wine...That would be nice!.... :D ...!

..and I think that's about all I need to keep me fed and watered over the Xmas holiday!

Do you know what....Xmas dinner is the same tasty dinner that I have every other day of the year!...So no change there!... ...!

What a lot of fuss over Xmas!.... ...!

Paul.... ...!

P.S...Its tipping down with rain, so I am going to get wet on my Bike..which is the only bad news... ;) ....!

Wet, and COLD!!! hope you have some good, waterproof leathers! brrrrrrrrrr!! :D

Other than that, sounds like a very tasty dinner indeed! :handgestures-thumbupleft:

You DO know how easy Yorkshire puddings are to make, don't you? I can give you the recipe if you like. I make them for the Lovely Wife all the time. 4 ingredients and an oven, and gtg! you probably pay 1-3 times as much as you need to for them by buying them premade. Just a suggestion, since I know I'm a cheap...errr....FRUGAL S.O.B.! 8)

Anyway, may you enjoy a great Christmass, and a most pleasant New Year! :text-merryxmas: :text-happynewyear:

... :D ...!

I spend every day, shopping, preparing, and cooking amazing meals for myself, so "Xmas Dinner" is nothing special for me!

The advantage of being at home all the time, retired, and having "cooking" as an enjoyable pastime!... :D ...!

I doubt if I will be seeing anyone over Xmas period, so it will be a nice, quiet, peaceful time...as usual.... with lots of nice things to eat..at any time!..... :D ...!
