OK, well, thought i'd let some of you know as well as the Moderators ,, that I'll still be around , but NOT as active as I once was posting screen shots and general BS.

For I'm getting ready to have All new Fancy Teeth Installed, meaning, my old ones have to come out !

Ya know what that means - Ouucchhhhhhhhhh !

and me don't like Ouch at all !

but in the end IF I survive it, I know it'll be worth it !

NOT looking forward to it tho,,, cause I like to Eat, ya know things like Steak, brautwurst, Fish, cookies, cheeseburgers, salads etc.

looks like I'll be tastin Pudding, mashed potatoes and stuff like that for a while - which is gonna suck !!!

So, it may be several months that I am Grounded by The Teeth Adminstration ( like FAA Adminstration), before I'm able to , well,, sink my Teeth back into Flight Simulation and Flying again.

In the mean time, they'll be hooking a steel cable to some of my Teeth and the other end to a Boeing 707, and prepare for Take-Off , and out they'll come,, just hope the Jet Exhaust fumes keep me High enough I won't feel a thing !!!!!!

OK ~ Let er' Rip - Full Throttle ~ !!!

Just had the same thing done 6 months ago.

I had some strong pain killers leftover from some surgery. My BIG BIG BIG mistake was to not take 2 as I went into the dentists office.

The Novocain wore off long before I could get his prescription filled for more pain killers.

It was 6 or 7 hours later before I stopped climbing the walls.

I'm usually not all that bad with pain. The operative word there is usually

But this time I was alternating his prescription with my old prescription. His prescription was chemically different from my old prescription.

His pills. Then two hours later - my old pills. Two hours later - his pills. Two hours later - mine. Two hours later - his. Etc.

What I was doing was taking two different drugs every 4 hours. Starting each cycle 2 hours apart.

If you don't have anything like that ASK him for something before leaving his office.

MY prescription wasn't ready for 3 hours!

Other than that, I only took the pills (on a standard 4 hour cycle) for 24 hours.

You'll be back flying before you notice.

PS - as soon as you can, start reading aloud to improve your diction.

Also, for what it's worth - a woman down the street had this done to her with no such problems.

Ohhh, I'm nervous about it,, but, i'm 49 yrs.old, so hopefully,,, maybe, i'll recover fairly well,, and not have to endure too much PAIN,,, for too long.

I know i'll have some,,, just hope its not for days & weeks on end tho.

I've got about a month or so before they start work on me,,, then,,,, i'll probably Die or something !

Why can't people have TEETH like Sharks ??

They eat license plates, tin cans, Boats, Buoy's, all kinds of crapola, and they never have to go to the Fish Dentist ???

I want SHARKS Teeth !!!

Then - I, can be in the next James Bond Movie, as JAWS to replace Richard who died, he was the original Jaws in the Bond Movies !

Good luck. It's an ordeal.

I realize saying this is a bit late, but maybe not for some others here. About 10 years ago I finally latched on to a really, really good dentist. Young, nice personality, and very relaxed.
He and his hygentist have taught me some very basics about teeth care while not nagging me about it. It's very simple, really. Now I use a Sonicare brush and a Water Flosser, and mouthwash when I'm done. What a difference. They clean just great, and so much better than the way it was before. So now the brush does the work, not me. And regular cleanings, for me, every 4 months. All that doesn't take much. My teeth were never that great, but at least now they are doing much better, and my dentist and his hygentist are taking good care of me. It doesn't mean I might not have problems eventually, but at least I'm trying to avoid them.

The water flosser broke a few months ago, and I didn't replace it. Sure enough, the hygentist caught that, she said my gums bled when she cleaned my teeth, "Are you still using the water flosser. So I bought another one. It makes a difference.

I've heard different opinions on this. I am considering getting this done so I asked two people at work who had this done within the last year. One said he was in and out with teeth the same day. The other tells me food doesn't taste the same anymore.

I'll tell you what... ;) ....

Once you've got a full set of nicely-fitting, plastic, upper and lower Choppers, you will never be cursed with toothache, bleeding gums, or dragon's breath, ever again!... :D ...!

Just pop them into a glass of petrol water, when retiring, each night... ...!

Paul....just call me Mr. Gummy!.... ...!

Heck! I thought that you were going to go today.

I planned mine for a Friday morning so I'd be ok by Monday.

You've got tons (or tonnes as the case may be) of time to prepare.

In my case they shot me up with Novocain, and I'm a little unusual in that Novocain is a little less effective on me than it is on most people.

But it did ok. Though they had to give me more midway through.

The problem was that afterward they gave me a prescription. In 30 or 40 minutes I was at my pharmacy. THREE HOURS LATER, I had my pills.

You have time to get the pills BEFORE D-Day. (Dental-Day. That's a joke. Everybody has to laugh)

As I said before, I only took the pills for about 24 hours. After that, nothing was needed.

The more I think about it the more I think that 8 to 12 hours would have been ok, had I taken a couple of pills before he started working.

The most trying ordeal of all was trying to explain where, and in what way, the dentures don't fit.

You do know, of course, not to take aspirin?

Also get some tea bags to stop the bleeding. Regular tea, that is. Not that "green tea" that's so popular nowadays.

Wet the tea bag from the faucet. Squeeze a little excess water out, and put it in each side of your mouth.

It's extremely effective.

When I got done, I had to be put completly under cause I had to also have some work done on my jaw bone. Meaning I had
to have my inner jaw bone ground down. Oh yeah! real fun waking up from that. I literaly looked like that chipmunk on Rich's
post. Mouth full of gause, pain and blood! just the way ya want to wake up ehh? Oh.. and my wife laughed at me. Said I looked
funny. Kick me when I'm down why don't ya!

But that was many moons ago. Its real nice to not have tooth aches anymore. Its been years since my last one.
