Which reminds me, to mention, yet again!, the excellent; "Soaring scenery" areas available in the Sim V Library....

I use the California; "Soaring scenery for California"..>>> http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... &filename=
...in my; "Add-on Scenery"....but it is available for other areas all around the world!
The beauty is, that it installs a special type of; visible (triangular) "cloud" which appears throughout your scenery, wherever you are in the World!, and generates automatic lift and down-draught which not only affects your Glider, but also any other Aeroplane which you happen to be flying at the time!
Excellent for realistic flying effects!...just watch your VSI (Vertical Speed Indicator) gauge...and your Alt, and Radar Alt Gauges going wild!
Just fly close to the "special clouds" to experience the effect!
If you don't like it working...all the time...just "un-tick" it in your Add-on Scenery Library list, to temporally disable it!
I put it here (General) because its common to FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX Sims!
Give it a try!...
