...apart from the fact that there is nothing else to read in the newspapers, hear on the radio, watch on the Tele...etc...etc... ...!

Well Paul, you could always stay here & chat or go for a ride on your bike. Do the same as me & don't watch TV or read the papers. I don't pretend to understand all this but I know it affects a great many people all over the world. Some of my friends are genuinely upset & I respect their feelings. When you think about it, the Pope is far more important & affects more people's lives than most, if not all, world leaders. Whatever you might think of him, John Paul was a good, compassionate man, a strong leader & dedicated to his beliefs. It's a shame more politicians don't follow his example. IMHO
