When you make comments like that in cases like that, much like mine in the french rioters case. You either stick by them or dont make them at all. I fully meant mine and I stick by it.

Well... I'm not sure what you mean. My first comment was a joke (I must admit: a very bad and inapropriate joke, but still a joke) and not my opinion, so I can't "stick by it" can I? However, I stick by my opinion posted later in this thread.

I'm not too sure about you sticking by your opinions though... In the thread about the French riots you posted that you didn't care, well, if that's true, why did you start the thread in the first place?

Hagar:
If you don't have any sympathy for them perhaps you could spare a little for their families & loved ones. I'm sure it hurts them just as much as it would if those young people had been killed in a road accident & believe me I know all about how much that hurts.

I'm not sure if that one is directed to me... If so:
I didn't say I didn't feel sorry for them at all, I just don't feel VERY sorry for them. In fact, I only feel sorry for them being that stupid.

And about the *click click*. It's from another thread and I think it was posted in the period that you were having connection problems. I think the rest was already explained by the doctor. :P

PS. I don't have anything against you, CraigL. I even think you're a nice guy and that we would agree on most subjects.
But it's like Hagar said: "It's no use having a discussion forum when you can't have a discussion." I think it's very interesting to have an argument on a subject. Sometimes I get lost a bit in a fierce discussion because of this and if I have offended you in any way I would like to appologise. I didn't mean to...
BTW this doesn't mean that I don't "stick by" my opinions.  ;)

No, it wasn't directed at you at all Pigeon. It was directed at Craig who already replied to it. Strange how out of the many topics posted on this forum this one seems to have confused so many people & caused a lot of bad feelings over simple misunderstandings. Even I fell into that trap when I usually try to be very careful not to over-react these days. ::) ;)

I never said your comment were out of line, but I didn't see you put a  :-X on the end like me... I did that because I knew I was out of line.

Right, which of course makes it all better. ::)

There is no point in calling them stupid or unknowing, since none of you were there, hence you know absolutely jack**** about why they were chucking a grenade around.  Maybe they'd been doing it since they were ten.  These people live around these devices their entire lives-when you have that kind of contact, the deadliest things tend to lose their mental bite.

The only thing to be said is that it's a damn shame.

Pidgeon, Firstly I have nothing against you either. I started the topic as I thought it would provide an interesting debate. It did.:)

As for not caring, I said I didnt care about those kids who were running or thought they were running from the police. thats all. ;)
