Don't hang in too much into the whole army thing. And don't trust the recruiters. They're lying like hell.


Btw:
The army does not solve personal problems. It only corrupts personalities.
Do something useful instead. Like choosing the smaller evil of careers and have a semi-happy life.

Just try out different things such as, like you said, joining a cadet force (in your case you want to join the army cadets).
If you want to join the army, go for it, but not before you have looked at all of the options.

By the way what year are you in at school?
I am in year 10 and we just had our mock interviews and later on we have our work experience and also a careers convention which I just remembered is/was tonight

sweet...got any ideas what career youre after yet?

(you mightve guessed im tied up to my ears in duct tape  :o and completely clueless as to whether my dreams of mud and rain and camouflage  ::) are gonna happen lol)

any body else got an opinion on what i should do?  :-?

current definate:

get GCSE's sorted
join local army cadets

current possible:
join an army run 6th form (education for A-levels 16-18 yrs)

current desire:
to enroll into the army, sort my life out and bring in some cash.

still stubborn as a mule and still much prettier  ::)

I'm not really 100% certain but I'm looking into the RAF.
That's one of the reasons I joined the ATC.

cool. i gotta say things are looking up for me now. my nan is backing me up as long as i do my best with my GCSE's and A-levels,   :) uncle mike (in the Royal Navy) will probably back me up too, and he'll probably have some useful info too.

The armed services are mostly what tou make of it. Going in with a positive attitude definately helps. Basic training goes by faster than you may think. Look at some of the 'niche' careers, that's what I did. Lots of travel and outdoors. Most days were either working aircraft or doodling in a storage structure, and only a little paperwork. It was much like a 7am-3pm job.
