I nearly watched it. Then I remember last year when I watched some of it and changed my mind. After all, it could never beat the 2004 rugby world cup final. :P

You didn't miss much as far as staying up till 3:30 in the morning, but once the second half got going it was pretty exciting.

Well when I tried watching it I gave up after they stopped and started play every 30 seconds. If every game is anything like that I don't see how it can be exciting. :P

The tip of the ball crossed the end zone on his first surge (I saw it again on ESPN as I'm typing this).. before he lost control.. before he hit the ground. That's what I saw.. that's what the replay guys saw..

I'd like to see Rugby get popular here in the U.S.

Soccer never caught on. NFL-style football is getting pretty popular in Europe, though..

You know I cant agree with that:) But its cool really as the result wont be changed. The Steelers won that's how it will go down in the record books, and to give them credit where its due. They did get there by beating a good Bengals team on the road. They beat a Very Good team in the Colts on the road. And they Beat a very good Broncos team in one of the toughest road locations in the NFL, so no-one can say they didn't earn it:)

I was very impressed by seattle in the first quarter, but they lost it as the game

I was pretty impressed by them earily on as well.  Except they were unable to sustain their drives.  They came out looking really good and then just seemed to die.  I wasn't sure what to make of that.  I know that a couple bad calls hurt them, but they seemed unable to finish anything.

I thought Seattle would wear down by the second half, the speed which they started out. They looked ok till the 4th where you could see them clearly wearing down.

Good article on the officiating. ::)

but then...one touchdown not allowed? another one from the steelers does count? hm...

There was a penality on the Seattle player that caught the football.  They said he pushed off of the defensive player which is why he was open and then made the catch.  If was a very questionable call.

The Steelers TD was replayed for the refs and they said the TD was good.

The seattle TD was made by someone called Jackson if I recall correctly...and to my eyes, pushing away an opponent player cant be a reason to raise the flag?

and for the TD from the steelers: no TD EVER, the ball did never cross the line.

I wonder how the result would have been if the match would have been played in some eastern states...

But the main thing: american football has become more popular over here!

Yep. NFLEurope.com.

The only problem is that the NFL is so greedy that it is killing its fan base by charging money to see the games on television.  It has already placed NFL Europe games out of free US television, except maybe the World Bowl.  If you haven't paid to see any any prior NFL Europe games you probably don't care to see the World Bowl, which is on at some absurd hour anyway.

I used to love watching NFL Europe games but I can't get them any more.

The player who caught the pass was Darrell Jackson.
