Have I told you that I've got English blood running through my veins as well ;D

OMG....I'll slightly change my "holocaust" list from "dogs" to "dogs and english-dutch hybrids".
And I thought it couldn't get any worse than dogs...but geez, what did I know...*Walks off gesturing and talking to himself*

And pigeon, you think my comments are out of line? oh yeah, good job  ;)

I never said your comment were out of line, but I didn't see you put a  :-X on the end like me... I did that because I knew I was out of line.

However, I don't share the opinion of most here on the  grenade incident. I think playing catch with a grenade is stupid. You're not going to tell me they didn't know what they were doing and I hardly feel any sorrier for them than for the guy who played russian roulette with a semi-automatic. But hey, that's just my opinion...

I fully meant mine and I stick by it. Some people here know I can be harsh in some cases, usually when it comes to stupidity or in most cases, criminals who deserved it.

I sometimes wish I could be as confident as you Craig. I was once but seem to have grown more tolerant with age. I still have strong opinions on some things but tend to give people the benefit of the doubt these days.

We all do stupid things when we're young. I still do stupid things now & I'm the wrong side of 60. When I think back to my childhood I'm lucky to have survived without serious injury or even being killed in a couple of cases. That's what being young is all about & thankfully most of us come through it, hopefully a little wiser from the experience. These were just kids messing around & I still regard anyone under 21 as a kid despite what the law might say. They've grown up in an area where these weapons are laying around just waiting to be played with. OK, they probably knew the risks but they had most likely done it before & got away with it. If you don't have any sympathy for them perhaps you could spare a little for their families & loved ones. I'm sure it hurts them just as much as it would if those young people had been killed in a road accident & believe me I know all about how much that hurts.

Hi Doug.
As far as this story is concerned I do have sympathy for these youngsters and every other kid in a country which has been devistated in the past by wars. My other comments are for a differant topic and perhaps stupidly included here. I have said many really bad things in the past and believe me in one case almost 9 years ago something really bad I still feel guilty about to this day. And for those I will usually appolagise and move on as quickly as I can to limit the damage. But I suppose being young and impressionable I can still get away with it for a few more years:)

If you'd said that instead of posting a cryptic comment I wouldn't have needed to ask the question. :P

You must have seen something in this thread that I missed as all I can see is a perfectly sensible discussion on a serious subject. If people can't air their opinions & sometimes disagree there's no point in having a discussion forum.

No problem as long we we cleared it up. Maybe I got the wrong idea as you posted that comment immediately below mine. I naturally thought you were objecting to something I'd said when I couldn't see anything objectionable about it.

I know that Craig & respect you for it. As for being young & impressionable I can forgive anyone for that. ;)
