I'm sure that also depends on the year and Hemi variant.

165mph on my old GSXR600 which had a few tuning mods.

Just picked up a Suzuki Hayabusa this weekend but only rolled it up to 130mph so far.  This bike is a little bit faster than my old one and UK roads aren't the best to speed on, well the roads are OK but if your caught over 100mph here its an instant ban from driving/riding which kinda sux.

Once I get used to the Busa and have that clear bit of road and enough balls to hold it to the stop then I am sure I can get that speedo reading over 200mph! I am only 75kgs hehehe.  True speed I guess would be 190-195ish??  ;D

The fastest I've ever been is about 80MPH. I'm only 14, and my parents are pretty cautious. ;D

Again, how about clocked with a correctly calibrated ground gun?

Again, how about correctly used radar guns? You are aware, they aren't just point and shoot, correct? You can have a WIDE range of numbers with improper use.

Also, the drag races. The racing engine hit 168. Mind you this is the same engine used for professional stock car racing. Way more than a stock engine.

The guy who used the radar gun was qualified to use it.

As for speedometers in cars, they obviously get very incorrect at high speeds.

For the 390HP version of the 426, check the head, it was most likely the 390HP 426 WEDGE head from the 64-67ish. I don;t have the production notes in front of me, but I think I'm close to correct on that.

Well, I had a chat with several guys in the the Charger Forums and they seemed to think that 200 even with a Hemi was not possible.  180 was the general consensus as to the max speed, but even then they were saying the car was so light as to be uncontrollable.

I also left a message in their forums to see what people said.  You can check on it here...

Fastest (with me not driving) 150kmh on the Enkhuizen - Lelystad dike (big dam in the IJsselmeer), Opel Omega 2.0i on LPG

Fastest (with me driving) somewhere between 130-135kmh in a Golf V (latest model)

Driving up there must be nice. I only know that dam by its locks.

Very reasonable. ;)

OK i think i got the wrong dike (it's the Afsluitdijk, not the enkhuizen-lelystad one)
the Afsluitdijk has a nice descending curve at the western end... you can get a nice speed there.

the '130 in the golf' thing is with driving lessons trying to overtake trucks driving 80kmh while at the same time avoiding the guys that drive 140-150 or more on the middle and left lane

LoL,reminds me of my driving lessons which were far more chaotic than yours. One time,I did 140 in a 110 zone. My drving teacher wasn't that happy when he looked at the speedo...;D
