By 2000 everyone would have a watch run by a nuclear power source :)

Col.

Perhaps not quite what they had in mind. http://www.atomic-clock.org.uk/atomuhr.html

I'm still waiting on the damn flying cars they promised back in the '50s & '60s. ::) ;D

Ok back to the subject

Pleaseeeee Don't believe what any one said space is huge too empty , trust me I do better astronomy than airplanes ( :Piaghh that sounds like a little bit show off here) But its true , Nothing is going to happen, Neither the other things IS around the web that there is and asteroid that will pass between earth and the moon (LMAO)

Imagine that a water tank is the Sun

Image

3 mt tall the earth would be the size of and orange ,and it would be two blocks away 200 Mts , Marth would be the size of a lemon and it would be 600 metter 6 blocks away from the sun

Alex, just so you know, nobody really "started" the 2012 date.  It comes from the Mayan calendar.  December 21st is not, however, a date for the end of the world, but most likely some form of shift in ideas, also known as a paradigm shift.

Did anyone bother to read what the prediction is? ::)
This is Black-Sheep's original post.
"A wobble in the precise clockwork of the solar system could see the Earth collide with Mercury, Mars or Venus, scientists have predicted.
But they say reassuringly that such a mishap is unlikely to occur for billions of years.

I'm not likely to be around in 10 years time, let alone billions of years. I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over it. LOL :D

This made me think of the 4-minute warning we were promised in the event of a nuclear attack during the Cold War. Not sure what use 4 minutes would be to anyone. Just enough time to kiss your arse goodbye before being blown to oblivion. For all the good it would do I'd rather not know. ;)

Hagar, youv'e just reminded me of the emergency drills we had in
my first years of school. When the alarm sounded, we were told to kneel under our desktops and cover our heads with our hands, in the event of a nuclear attack.     ;)

Ok ,What Source ?,and which scientist?,  I've have also read the Resonance effect in the solar system, But Just a theory ,to hear about mercury and mars crashing among each other tells me a solar system smaller than the size of the sun

Due to ununpleasant visit I couldn't finish my idea, sorry

there is a resonance every certain time ,this doesn't occur in specific years this involve interior planets

what will happend is that Our point of view Scorpius and Sagittarius will be in the exact center of the Vernal point (Sorry I'm really having a lot of problem to bring the concept into English)

You explain it very well Alex. All I would say to you is "Prove It". Until you can do that I will remain a confirmed sceptic. :P

The news media love a good scare story. They troll this nonsense out regularly on bad news days.

and BTW
PS. I'm more worried about whether it's going to rain tomorrow.
