Done with Wally Mart! After losing another $150 today I sold off all but 7 of my shares of that stock. I had bought 7 more when they went up and so I'm gonna hold on to those and see if I can make a little profit with them.  I made out nice of the initial 180 because I got to let them go today for 2.50per share than what I paid for them. :D
Swapped 180 shares of walmart for 793 shares of Amer Land Lease, They have had a couple of nice days, hoping for a couple of more good ones. ;)

My walmart stocks are down about $50. No major investing (none at all actually) today because all of the stocks that I am viewing are at their peaks. Last thursday (charts say) HIG was at 7 per stock! Up to 17 to 15 now! Should have been there for it :-/ However, back in September, they were at 60+! :o HIG is really one to watch :)

Ive lost $100 because of walmart this week
The Black Friday weekend would have seen an increase due to a sales surge even though we're in a recession. Because of the recession, particularly with extent of it dramatized in the media, one can't expect gains to be anything like previous years. Credit Card issuers were applying all sorts of regulations and tactics to increase customers' interest rates; the backlash was that many have seen their card balances balloon even though they've made their payments. The major amount of sales has been via those credit cards which many bearers thereof are now reluctant to use even if they are well below their cap. Cash purchases aren't going to be so good, either.
You've picked a harsh overall time to 'play' the stock market but, perhaps, the better season. There's usually another slight surge (at least in non-recession years) near Christmas Eve; another a few days either side of New Year's. I'm not a stock market expert, however, but relating to my experience as a long-time credit card holder and my past, short term jobs in book sales, electronic sales and at Wal-Mart as well as acquaintances and family who have/had 'real' money invested in stocks.

Yeah ill wait for the holiday seasons to finish before I sell it or hopefully it goes up.

The whole point of this challenge was to do it so we could see who can do better in a bad time to buy stocks. :)

I just wish more people would join so is not us 3 :P

$11,613.68 sold my walmart stock because I didn't want to risk it because I know I bought too high (56.42 I believe they were.) I bought some more HIG today and sold, maybe a couple hundred. :)

Friday! Made some money this time, and my shares of Wal Mart are all gone now. :D
ANL had me worried early, then did a nice spike at noon, should have sold it all at that time, tanked a little, but made a decent recovery.

Im gunna keep my eye on walmart..
Im not going to get rid of all it yet.

I don't really sell my stocks as much like wii but ive gained $150 today.

Here's my pic. Ive jsut looked at it trying to figure out a better way to earn money and I thought GOOGLE and APPLE are great buy so next time the market goes up even a little im going to sell some of my stock that I can lose the least I can or hopefully gain money then invest more in better buy's. Obama did say the economy is just going to get worse so I need to be prepared! ::)

Man, I might have to get some of that Google stock, that's looking pretty healthy! :o

If I have a stock go down more than 2 days in a row, I dump it, trying to find the solid gainers though is like finding a needle in a haystack at times. :D

I'm scared! I invested $7,240.00 in HIG and I thought I would be home before 4 today to sell but we had car problems so the market is closed...the typical pattern of HIG is it drops to around $7 per share from 17 (bought at 14) so I fear the worst...but that doesn't mean I have to sell...! :-/
