I know for certain about a book or two and one DVD, the rest is just a surprise..... but I'm pretty sure a lot of it'll be chocolate based 8-)

LOL...You often take the secondary meaning of a word don't you? :D ;D :D

I'd suggest Paul is taking the primary meaning. I'm sure men wore braces for clothing below the waist before orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry were common place. :)

I suppose that makes sense...Are braces different from suspenders? I used to wear those as a child ;)

Braces is the traditional British word for what those crazy Americans call suspenders. They're used for holding your trousers up. See Fozzer's photo.

Suspenders are what gentlemen wear to keep their socks up.*

Fozzer in his Christmas socks & pants plus suspenders. Note that he is not wearing his braces.

*The female version is called a suspender belt

Aren't they pants? Suspenders? Ahhh the joys of cross-atlantic linguistics! ;D

A bit of an introductory edit --
I had to make an hour's drive (one-way) for an eye examination at the VA hospital. My isp connection cut out and I couldn't wait for it to access so I saved the following:

I believe they're called 'suspenders' over here, although more properly applied to the over-the-should harness type to hold up the pants; evidently for older gents who need to be suspended without leaving the rest of us in suspense.***

2. A silver trumpet (all ready have it)

How in the heck do you play trumpet with braces? :P

You can but you kinda have to retrain your lips to play. Luckily marching band season is over for eight months. That means I'll get them off soon after marching band next year.
