Note the lack of modern RAF assets - an indication of the level of the Chief of Defence Staff's understatement today. Don't expect any RAF Hercs, Tristar, C-17, and very few Helo's... ::)

Well it's very early on, so there's no 'noting' to be done yet. ;D

However, I do agree that there'll be little in the line of front line transport aircraft. Something which is sorely missed on the UK airshow scene.

Typhoon has Fairford listed (unsurprisingly), as I expect will the Harrier. The 2007 crews for the Harrier and GR4 don't appear to have even been announced yet...

Thank god...I'm sick of the merlin ;)

I heard something about introducing pyrotechnics to RAF displays...is that still happening??

What's wrong with the Merlin? Better than most RAF displays last year, especially the Tornado GR4!

The Chinook was by far the best display of 2006, though.

Have to agree with you there....I guess I don't like the merlin compared to the chinook cos I saw the merlin disply 6 times, whereas I only saw the chinook twice...

There is no way in humanity that that is the final RAF list, just look at Last Years

Many of those were static though.

I'm sure a few may be in the static park, but the Tucano display for example has not been booked. Comparitively the service seems an awful lot busier than last year - more Harriers are in A-ghan, and the more trooops our lords and masters poor into A-ghan and Iraq, the heavier the demand on the AT and Helo fleets - note last years "RAF" Herc C3 actually came from Marshall's of Cambridge! :o :)

We'll see.
