Woo Denver are now just 1 san diego loss tonight away from the AFC west title for the first time since Elway left. Great performance again from Rod Smith last night. Perhaps one of the best wide receivers of all time. Certainly undrafted receivers. ;D

For the digital zoom thing, I find it makes pics come out even worse because it's shakier.

Anyway, the pics I got were pretty bad because it was about 20

I have a feeling last night we saw the end of Brett Favres career. Or certainly his last MNF game. I hope not as he is probably the only QB playing today who will be remembered along side Marino, Elway and Montana.

I have a feeling last night we saw the end of Brett Favres career. Or certainly his last MNF game. I hope not as he is probably the only QB playing today who will be remembered along side Marino, Elway and Montana.

You know, I really think Brett Favre will play next season.  I get the feeling that he is not the kind of guy who wants to go out like this and he deffinately still has the ability to play at this level.  I also really think Green Bay will be a lot better next year (they have had a lot of injuries and stand to get a good player in the draft).  So, I think Favre will play one more season.

Also, is this the last MNF season?  I know they were talking about ending it-but I don't know when the last year is.  I was wondering if your comment about this being Favre's final MNF game is because Green Bay is so bad this year therefore they won't get one next year or if this is the final MNF year period.

You are right that Favre will deffinately be put in the same group as Montana, Marino and Elway.  But, I disagree that he is the last QB playing that will.  I think that Peyton Manning is deserving of that group, or at least he will be by the time he retires.  He is already drawing a lot of comparisions to Dan Marino because of his throwing style, quick release, and high numbers.  I think if he wins a Super Bowl (which Marino never did) he will probably be put into this group.  Another QB who will eventually be put into this elite group from this era is Tom Brady.  His post season success and late game poise has already caused him to draw comparissions to Joe Montana.  So, I think the way he is going, even if he never wins another Super Bowl, that he will also be in this group-he just is a little young yet.

This is the last year of MNF Richie. In my opinion whether he has the ability to play or not at the same level, I think the past two years have taken every last ounce of his energy out of him. The way he left the stadium with his head under a hood showed that.
In my opinion I think guys like Manning and Brady will start a new group of QB's to be remembered. Guys like Elway Marino and Montana were part of the gunslingers the big guys in the backfield, the guys who did it by themselves or so it seemed and Brett Favre and perhaps Steve Mcnair are the last of those. Todays QB's are part of a team, more athletic and not the only guy required to win. I still rate Brady well above Manning he doesn't spend half his time trying to change the plays at the line but knows in most cases what a defense is going to do with Billichek. Right now it looks like Indy are going to face New England in the playoffs in the second round. This time the Pats will be mostly healthy and what the Chargers did last week is just an example of what New England will do to them. Manning may indeed end up like Marino in that he wont have any superbowl rings on his desk.
