Not yet...Plenty of simming though ;)

Accualy I made a call last thursday to the Delta Connection Academy in Sanford, Florida.  I should be getting a call letting me know when the next confrence call will be.  From there I should recieve a free trip to visit the academy compliments of Delta and I will more then likely enroll while down there.  So I will hopefully be going commercial within the next couple years 8)

And while we are on the subject....What is the US regulations on eye sight (on the 20/20 scale)...I know mine are horrible but with my contacts i see 20/20...

i haven't got my license yet.... and haven't soloed either... actually it's been a while since i've flown anything at all :(

i used to fly sailplanes at a small airfield upstate, but ever since we sold the farm, i haven't been able to go there....

i guess i fall into the imaginary "initiated" category ;D

i will become a pilot someday, yet, i hope ::)

I don't have a licence, but does that say I'm not a pilot? I just didn't have the time to get one yet. I will... someday... *sigh*  ::)

My eyes...

Left -5.75
Right -6.25

...but corrected to 20/15 so I can see better than most people, but the Air Force still won't buy that... :'( :'( :'(

When I took my flight physical, the nurse asked me to read stuff off the largest line of letters on the card while I was holding it a foot away from my face  without my glasses and I couldn't see a thing, but they didn't seem to care and I passed. :D ;)

Didn't you know that having your eyes lasered automatically leads to rejection? It's sad, but true...

A proud simmer....and it'll always be that way...I am planning to do a medical major from college.... ;)

But if you get to tack a medical acronym onto your name someday, you can make big bucks... which means getting your license and buying a plane. There's no age limit... you've got time.

I'm starting lessons this winter. Can't wait. :D

I assume you've cleared this with the 'rents?
   ;) :D
If you haven't yet, be sure to remind them about how mature and responsible it will make you, etc... ;)
-haven't forgotten we were talking about sharing a ride; I'll be flying this winter for sure, when all the wimps are home... still have to get checked out in Millstone's C152s, though (stupid rule, but it's their perogative), because my friends have been letting me down, and the C172 is pretty pricey for solo flights or just one passenger...

Rotty, that is some good advice. Sounds like something my instructor (a much older pilot) would say.

And I know all about that "letting things slide" and "never going out" stuff. ;)

My vision is horrendous.  -5.25 left -5.5 right.  I am determined to get my license tho in a few years (actually probably will be about 10).  If I cant, then Ill say 'screw you' to the faa and go to another country LOL!

Just had a look at the FAA.  It seems to me that you are able to get a ppl no matter what your vision is, as long as you meet the requirements with or without corrective lenses.  You are able to fly as long as corrective lenses are worn if needed

YES!! THAT MEANS I CAN FLY!!

Well ok.... I am a pilot after all. And this is from the test not the solo. ;) (A bug in FS9 gives it you after the solo too).
