Vikings should be good for the NFC north but i dont see them yet as a superbowl team. Randy Moss is nothing in my opinion, if he put half his talent into playing football rather than running his mouth or mooning the crowd then maybe he would be on another level. His career will take a nose dive in Oakland.

I don't see the Vikings owning the NFC yet, but they wil most likely do better throughout the season then last year, the Eagles still own the NFC for now but other NFC teams have made some good offseason moves, take Arizona or Dallas

NFC north not NFC division. Richie made some good points about the Panthers it remains to be seen though if they continue on the path they are on. Personally i dont like the NFC, the Packers are the only team i really like in there and thats just out of respect for Brett Favre. The AFC is where the action really is, and in my opinion will be again, the toughest division to play in is definatly the AFC west, where as all the others have a clear number 1 team maybe not the NFC North, the AFC west has 4 teams who are all capable of being superbowl teams. Now i really dont see San Diego doing what they did last year, Oakland are still the up and down team , KC like i said are on any given sunday one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL and well the Broncos who knows, already one of their Cleveland transplants is out with a dislocated elbow till week 2, and Jake Plummer has a knee injury hopefully minor, but BVP is now practising with the first team offense. I think this year, the NFC has maybe 4 or 5 teams who can really challenge for the superbowl spot, Philly, atlanta, carolina, minnesota and green bay.
The AFC, Patriots, Colts, Broncos, Steelers, chargers, Jets, bills, Ravens and Jags could all be a threat. I would like to see an AFC NFC swap of some teams, it would make the NFC more competitive and force some NFC teams to step up to the plate in the AFC.

Well, Chicago won the Hall of Fame game in a really fun game to watch 27-24.  That makes me 1-1 for the first pre-season week.

One thing I noticed in this game was the play of Kyle Orton, Chicago's rookie QB from Purdue.  Although he did throw a bad interception, his play overall was impressive to me and I think he may become a fine NFL QB.  He will certainly be a good backup which Chicago needs.

It's amazing to me how quickly the AFC became so strong.  For about 20 years, the NFC was by far dominant (until the mid to late 1990s), then all of a sudden the AFC passed them.  But I agree, the AFC is MUCH tougher.

the toughest division to play in is definatly the AFC west

I would say the AFC East is the toughest division in the NFL.  Your right, the AFC West has some good teams and they are all pretty well balanced-but look at the East.  First, you have the New England Patriots who probably won't be as good as they have been but they will still be a threat to win the AFC.  The New York Jets have been a strong team ever since Chad Pennington has stepped up.  They are a well balanced team overall and will also have a chance to win the AFC.  The Buffalo Bills are a team that seems to be getting better all the time.  They have a fairly new coach who is making key changes and they are young in many of the skill positions-especially QB and RB.  Willis McGahee has turned into a very good running back dispite the serious knee injury in college.  If QB JP Lossman can comeback from the injury he had last year they Bills will be a force and will only get better with time.  Finally, the Miami Dolphins.  OK, I have nothing good to say about the Miami Dolphins except-they are pretty young, just drafted an excellent young RB, have a new coach, got Ricky Williams back, and most importantly-they have nowhere to go but up.

So, I think the AFC East is the toughest divison in the NFL.  The AFC West is probably next.
