To get back on the pope issue I respect the man for what he did and may he rest in peace. I find it quite disturbing however how he is displayed like that. We in holland had a couple of experiences like this where If a royal died people could pay tribute to them but they were in a coffin. With the pope the first thing I thoughtof with all the rings and the staff was: Pimp my pope (seriously) I really find this disturbing. I mean no disrespect towards the pope however.

whats worrying is they say the pope wasnt embalmed. I really hope they did some because after a few days the smeel and even appearance will be bad for the public

As far as the Pope's coverage on news goes I don't think its been that bad here, now who remembers what happened when a certain Princess left us?  ::)

I've always been slightly disturbed about putting body's on display. Sure you want to pay your last respects but to slowly parade past a corpse, be it in a coffin or no seems really strange to me. :P

Or do what I do, let the wife have the remote and then jump behind your PC and go flying ;) ;D



Been doing that for a couple years now. Once the news & Jeopardy is off I have nothing for the TV except now and then a good nature or history program on one of the PBS channels.
