What's that in the large bottle on the right Paul? I think you forgot to mention that. ;)

PS. I seem to remember the beef-flavoured Walker's Crisps were the only ones in their range not containing meat. Meanwhile, the cheese-flavoured ones were not suitable for vegetarians. ???

Marmite is okay, but I really love Vegemite (Australias answer to Marmite). Alas I finished the last of it today :'(
My first encounter with Marmite was rather amusing though, my mum told me to make some Marmite sarnies for my cousin (a Royal Marine of infamous reputation), and I didn't realise you were meant to put it on thin, so I whacked it on like jam :o My cousin amazingly managed to eat it :P ;D

Maybe it was your Marmite sarnies that spurred your cousin on to his heroic deeds (whatever they might be). All the time he was only trying to get the taste of that awful muck off his tongue. ::) ;)

The Marmite ladies in the street offering to let the passer-by's have a taste, in the Television advert....
.. I'm thinking their worst nightmare would be to offer you a sample of the product...

Evening Standard news flash.......
"Elderly gentleman arrested for causing a breach of the peace today, during a public Marmite tasting excersize in Worthing. He was later released on a Bail surety of consuming 5 teaspoonfuls of Marmite"

LMAO......! ;D That ad proves that even the manufacturers are aware that some people hate their 'orrible product. They should be prosecuted for selling it. IMHO :P :D

Given the choice I would have stayed in jail. Mind you, I expect they serve Marmite with breakfast as an extra punishment. ::)

Hi Ben...!
..one of those things...your "marmite" pic over-wrote a different pic under the same name posted by Ace in the first page...
He's altered his pic "name" now instead, so all is ok.
Just goes to show how careful you have to be to name your pic an "unusual" name...LOL...!

Cheers Ben.... ;D...!

So, has anyone ever drank Bovril? I suppose it's like drinking gravy...

Never drank Bovril myself but Oxo cubes with boiling water poured on 'em used to be a welcome reviver at work in cold weather. The boss used to bring hot steaming cups of this concoction round as a special treat. I didn't particularly like it but it was so cold I would drink anything hot, except for that bloomin' Marmite. ;)
