No, I don't live in Canberra. I'm in Sydney. but I must say, I do like it there. It's so clean and fresh. And I hate summer because I can't stand the heat.

I'm Back!

Postby Scorpiоn » Thu Feb 05, 2004 8:43 pm

I'm actually responding!  Sorry it's been a couple days... :P

Ozzy, I'm a big lovable ball of contradiction!  I don't like sweating, thus I don't like hot weather.  But, I'll take the heat if I got me some nice beach and palm trees to look at! ::) :D Though here in houston, it's ugly and hot. :P I like cold weather.  A lot. ;D

I figured I'd get this answer, most of all from you!  (Well there's too many suggestions.  Tough beans.) ::) But my problem is I don't just want to pick a town off the map and then go there.  I have to have some sort of plan!  If I'm going to ask for help, I should help too. ::) Here's a "town-filter"!

Preferable Environment:
  • Mountains
  • Rather Cold
  • Windy
  • Close to some sort of body of water.
  • Social interaction doesn't matter.  Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to use it.

That's all the major variables I can think of. :P

If you are serious about coming to Australia, then the easyest way for you is to live near an airport, try to get a job with an Airline, as ground staff or what ever. This way you get benifits after a period of time, and usually fly anywhere you wish to go. for ten percent of the fare.

Or find out the requierments for cabin crew at your national carrier. then you travel heaps, stay in very good hotels aswell as get paid for it.

Thats how you get about, i hope it helps  ;)

For the moment I think I better stop worrying over the town and start worrying about what I'm going to do when I get there.  Supposing I even make it to Germany/Britain, what in the world should I do then? :P

I still love bombs and such just as much as I did when I was four years old,

That's pretty scary, man...

And what's wrong with donning scuba gear?  :)
