Sorry to be so sarcastic but this is kind of a silly discussion.  I've been a member for a while, longer than it says. That's because of the Battle of TITS which I'd rather not bring back up.

The stars don't mean a thing, unless you go nuts like Andrew "Nice Pic" Esselbach. I don't mean to be rude but I bet Andrew would be a great telemarketer.

I have to disagree with the spam thing. Spam is this:

Saying nice shots keep them coming is called Motivation IMO and not spam. Even saying: Your pictures suck get out of here is not Spam. It is a comment, a part of ones thoughts. and NOT SPAM.

I do not even look at the number of posts..
This place to me is a place that I come to to interact with fellow freinds who have a common interest....aviation.
There are many forums and we each gravitate to what we like. We also gravitate to the "Virtual" freinds we all have. Comments, pictures, suggestions.....and ultimatley.....FUN!,...that's what it all about!!

Of course We all have freinds that go way back and the # of posts represent that. But to me, It is not the # of posts...but the "person" you are here at SimV..

It is funny, I see people with over a thousand posts and never have anything interesting to say, (in my opinion, do not mean to offend),..who seem like they have been here forever!!
Then you have somebody like Brad "AKA X" who only recently joined, and he immediatly has many freinds....!!If you did not see his # of posts, wouldn't you think he was here forever?
Just an observation....
It is all in how you "present" yourself.

Of course, then some people split their postings up into 2 or 3 different parts so they get a higher number of postings.    

If this is referrencing me,.....I lile to post shots!!!
I always try to tell a little story to make it interesting for viewers. I think that when somebody tells alittle story, or even shares some info in the graphic posts,..it makes the post more interesting. I think it is better than 5 or 6 pictures "slapped" up there on a blank slate. When somebody takes the time to "express" or "share" in where or how the pictures were taken, it adds a little life to the post!
Since threads are limited to 500k, I see NO problem in starting another thread to "finish" or "tell" a story. The last thing on my mind when posting is trying to "add" to my # of posts....believe me!!! I could really care less!!

Now you all have me looking at the # of posts....shame on all of you  :P

Why can't you just accept that fact that i've been here longer then you have? I also spend a considerable amount of time here during the day. Spend 4 hours here everyday and your posts will increase dramatically.

How would you like if nobody ever, and I mean ever commented on screenshots you post? A "Very Nice Shots!" post is appreciated more then nothing.

It seems that my little stars and my post counter does mean something to you or you wouldn't make a big deal out of it. I have already explained that I rarely notice it. Pete could turn it off and I would probably be more happy about it then sad.

If you haven't noticed by now, Simviation is the majority of my social life, 'nuff said!

So just lighten up my friend

before signing up, If all my post were here, I
was deleted three times, by a past member,
I would be well over 1000 by now!!

At the speed that alot of our P.C.'s download pages in the 'Screen Shots' forum, you'd have to be crazy to use that particular venue to 'run up your numbers'. It takes ages just to see the pics that you might think about commenting on..........................so I can't see how the critisisms that have been brought up (serious or not) could be aimed at those who make any comments in the Screen shots forum.

P.S. Back to a comment made by someone earlier about them not liking it when thev "subject" section of a post is altered. I'm afraid I must agree. I have received countless 'auto email' responses with subjects that are not listed on the main page.
Again, with the speed that my P.C. runs at, I'm not always able to do a search for a subject just to see if it pertains to something important or that I would like to see. As said by my friend, just a little problem for some people.

Andrew, I've never seen you Spam. So you must spend alot of time in here. I hope it's worth your while, and I'm glad I can at least be here occasionally to help pass the time, constructively with you.  ;)

(I did see Stormy Spam once.........................Oh it was really, really, really bad too...........do you know what she did, do yo, well do you.............She made all the posts in the "Raw Screen shots" go out of order, and , and , and......no-one knew what was going and, and , and..........everyone got really, really upset about it, but  Rifle stayed out of it because he has to live with her and then, and , and then she got all defencive and told us all to stop being childish and to pull our heads in, and , and , and then.........do you know what happened then, well..............do you?...........Well then, then ..............

As for these attacks on Andrew, my first few posts on the forum where screen shots, they weren't very good.  This is not false modesty, none of my screenshots are very good.  Anyway, the only person on the forum who had the time to reply was Andrew.  Made me feel like there was some point to my posting them.
