The only thing that they have correct is my name and address, and possibly my occupation. I says "Tradesman/Machinist/Laborer", One of my jobs is strictly heavy lifting and generally wearing yourself out, the other requires specialized training. Why would they lump those three together anyway? I wonder if they put "Circus Performer/Sea Captain/Accountant" together too. :P

Google does the same thing these folks do only they do not make it public. Google sells your search profile to to marketing companies and ad agencies. Google wouldn't excist if they didn't have an income through advertisement and information sales. Most search engines dump your search info after a while, Google is different in that you are there permanently.  This site nailed some relatives very close, even providing a GOOGLE street view of thier home, with directions. Of course most of the info seems to be 3 to 5 years old.

The information is mostly false on the pages I looked at.  It said I was 50 years old, owned a house worth 1M, and somehow claimed I enjoy home decorating and sports.  Neither is true.

Information has always been a commodity.

For years we used, among other things, The Haynes Manual.

How do I remove family?  :-? I'm sure my parents won't be happy to know they're on there.  ;D

Four people with my name, one of them exactly if you consider the middle initial without knowing the actual name behind it. All of them live on the other end of the country. I took my name out of yahoo or Google over a year ago. I have lived in my present billet for almost three years. I don't show up. I like it that way...
