You don't have to renounce any citizenship unless you're being commissioned. You can actually serve as an enlisted personnel without an US Citizenship.
...and as for getting it back, US Citizenship is not as difficult as many foreign countries, but it is still quite difficult. I wouldn't recommend it.
P.S. USAF, I don't know anything about the RAAF.
Thats my problem ATM if i do "give it up" i dont want to see that 3 years later that i didnt get in a pilot seat and i wont be able to get my US citizenship back so yer its a hard one

The point is that all pilots in the USAF are commissioned officers so to become a pilot you need to to be a US citizen.
Not sure what you mean about getting your US citizenship back. Changing nationality is a serious business & a lifetime commitment. IMHO
Before thinking about joining the RAF or any other foreign air force perhaps you should check the situation regarding pilot selection & if they actually need any aircrew. http://www.profpilot.co.uk/articles/starting-out-questions/how-to-become-a-pilot-in-the-raf/
...9 years, and security clearance (not easy to obtain for someone who has already voiced unwillingness to forfeit a citizenship from a foreign nation...)
So is it not possible for you to be a pilot in the RAAF?
Also, it seems to me that it wouldn't be hard for you to regain Australian citizenship sense you are Australian and presumably were born in Australia.
