I'll tell you why, because Phuket and Padia are "Disney Land" for adults  ;D  Ask any service member  :-X  I had a BLAST there!!!

Yes I do. ;) Living in this little town where no one else plays meant I had to learn them all. Nice when I need a change, but keeps the studio kinda cramped! ;D I just got a violin and it is proving to be the hardest of them all, nothing like I thought it would be. :-/

I tried out the violin once...

...when I was five...

Haha, my sister had one, and it's freaky 'cuz they dun' have no frets :P.

On the other hand though, tuning them probably isn't as much of a priority as with fretted instruments since sound is associated directly to where you place your fingers, not which frets you place them on ;).

That's the only upside I can think of with them :D.

As for you two, Mushroom_Farmer and BigTruck, I've lived here for five years at least, and don't see how Phuket and Pattaya can be a "Disney Land" for adults.

Then again, I can't stand anything Disney-related anyway, so that might explain things ;D.

LOL it has nothing to do with Disney, str1ker, believe me!!!   ;)  Amusement park for adults would have been a better description I guess.

Ashton, do you speak Thai?

Very, very, little.

Extremely little.

I couldn't hold a conversation or work out directions to a place I need to go.

Well, I do know how to say go forward, backward, turn left and turn right.

I also know various names of places, like hotels, gas stations, beaches, restaurants, I can say the time (roughly), I can count to a million (I actually know billion as well, but I keep confusing that with a million), and I can order food in a restaurant with a fair amount of confidence.

Still, that's really bad considering I've lived here for 10 years :P...
