Ahh...the FSX forum one of the few places in the world you can start WWIII in less than one sentence ;D

I think it would be quite interesting to see how you view forum members through real drawings.

That may be very scary :o ;)

Sure is, as long as you stay out of the FSX forum...  ;) ;D

oh, and bring back the marmalade! Also my straight jacket is getting pretty beaten up, haven't seen the warden passing out new ones in quite some time!

Seriously, one of the above avatars (I'm sure you can figure out which one) reminded me of the lack of inside jokes there have been.  Used to be rare to see a thread without some comment of injections or marmalade in it somewhere. Now its common practice to have normal threads that could have been posed anywhere on the net. What happened to the Sim-V personality?

Ozzy's been threatening to use bloodier methods of late. Neither the time nor the patience to waste marmalade, I guess. :P

Once you have entered the FSX Forum, no matter how many times you shout "Help", no one will rush to save you from the Pit of Hell...
...trust me...:o...!

I have only managed to enter, and safely escape on rare occasions, by logging in under the name of "Attila the Hun", and fighting my way back out again... ;)...!

The FSX Forum motto is:

"Abandon hope all ye who enter here"

..so beware...

I usually stick to the forums under the "general" heading,  but one in while I brows around history and real aviation. All seems well in those areas, everyone plays nice and is helpful and whatnot. I don't run FSX now because I need to upgrade my PC for it to be worth it, so I never look at that forum, but I think I'll take a look at the FSX forum just to see what you guys are talking about.  ;)

You'll find that the FSX forum has long since become a friendly place..  :)

Probably more helpful info swapped there, than any place short of the hardware forum.. if for no other reason than FSX can be a handful  ;)

I can't remember the last time there was trouble there  8-)

As a frequent visitor of the FSX forum I will admit that the attitude is MUCH better then in the past. Much more help then arguments now. Though it is funny, I rarely see a regular Sim-V member in the FSX forum, its mostly new people and our very new 500 post residents.

Apart from Design -  FSX is my favorite forum here.

Lots of new & interesting people with very valuable input.

Simviation has always supposed to have been about the new & looking ahead. New members are the ones who bring essential fresh air to the place. I haven't seen any unfriendliness there.

Is not the same place

Does any one remember when FS2004 a century of flight was open?

there were few troubles ,but nothing compare to this , Its like a Sin to say that FSX has issues ,

those days the environment around ALL forum was the same pleasant and nice, many ADULTS among us.

, I know exactly what fozzer saids ,this has become a divided forum ,people from FSX never get in cafe , and vice versa as I always said there is a huge forum now with thousand of people ,but always few of this group has remain here since a long time.

And we see the difference is a divided club Kids and Grown , New members and old members
BTW a new member doesn't care to tell for example Fozzer ,Hagar etc  rude things and make fun of everyone like someone who told me Eat in Taco bell as to make fun of me because Im latin, because of my english, because they are racist ..

They think this is a place just to make fun a toy place ,

many are mummi's kids who hasn't nothing to do while mommi is working ,besides to visit XXX pages when mommi is not at the house
they come here to screw us up and nothing positive to bring ,they come here leave theuir negative thing and leave , there's a lot of this newly members..

FSX has issues
.. I can never relate to these as I've never had any major problems except back the backward gauge compatibility thing & can remeber EVERY new FS with people complaining and arguing here at SimV. I have been here quite a while & this is no different. In 2001 people were saying 'it used to be better in the old days..' ;)

Alex - we've always had troubles and REALLY this is one of the most peaceful times we have ever had. People have a way of filtering the past. I am the one with the figures of the servers. I am the one with the screenshots of the forums activity over 7 years. I am the one with the saved details of problems when we had trolls & problem makers.

Quarterly (3 month samples) & 100% this is the best & most busy we have ever been. 4 x what we were in 2004.

I often wonder (every day) how the Chaps in the FSX Forum can find the time to enjoy the latest program (FSX), Solo flights, Multiplayer flights, etc, in between times of arguing over the various/many Hardware, Software, etc, etc, you name it, they've got it, problems/issues with the program, since it was first released...quite a long time ago now... ::)...!

I cant remember so much time being spent in constant (problem) discussions (nice and nasty) over a previous Microsoft Flight Simulator Program!

In previous Flight Sim versions, I have been able to pop in and offer the occasional assistance, (quite a rare necessity), amusing comment, etc, without fear of being sideswiped by an annoyed Flight Sim enthusiast... :o...!

...that doesn't happen with FSX now...beware...!

If you fancy a good-old argument, and an occasional spot of fistycuffs, thats the Forum to visit....;)...!

It's a shame, but thats the way I see it, from past experience... ::)...!

It amazes me that most newcomers can actually enjoy the program!... :o..!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS '98, 2000, 2002, 2004, FSX... 8-)...!
