Say what you will, but Peter Johnson Wiener would make a great leader! ;).  I would be proud to say "I feel safe knowing theres a Wiener looking out for all of us." :D

Does tha ban also prevent mention (hypothetically) of any celebrity charity boxing matches? Say the Archboshop of Canterbury v. Alistair Darling?

Just checking. You never know what could appear on telly nowadays! ;) :) ;D

Now that's something I'd like to see.. no doubt along with half of the UK at the moment.  ;D

Archboshop of Canterbury

What is an Archboshop? Is that like a Demi-German? After all Boch is the old insulting name for Germans.... Whereas Bosch are rather excellent German power tools. I'm confused is there such a position as Demi-German of Canterbury? Why isn't there a Demi-Spaniard of Leicester? I'm in need of another cup of tea :)

Archboshop is obviously the more agressive side of the man! ;D

Whoops.

The Comfy Chair?

Yes, the Comfy Chair!

May I suggest a new type of subtle persuation method? It's called snowboarding and has a slight resemblance to the waterboarding thing the Americans use nowadays. You basically take a snowboard and hit Brett over the head with it until he promisses to behave...  ;D Effective + a good workout for the persuader...  ;)

To be honest you both are right. It all boils down to HOW you mod. It isn't an easy job and most certainly not for a novice. I've made mistakes in the past and the longer I have been a mod on sites the more I realise the less I say and do the better. Just leave people alone, unless they really are stepping way out of line.

Dave has been an excellent mod and I think Foz could be (if he tried) too. Being a mod doesn't mean you just go deleting posts, locking threads willy nilly, that's what the admin board, which discuses these things, is for. You don't have to make enemies if you don't want to and if it does go sour then quite possibly you are to blame. That's my experience.

Very well put Ben...

Me?...a Mod?.... ::)..Nah.... ;)...!

I hate being told what to do, and what not to do....(based upon other people's personal opinions)....

...and telling other Folks what to do, and not what to do, (based upon my personal opinions), was never my forte, I'm afraid... ;)... ;)... ;)...!

Which is why I have always turned down the offers on other Sites... :)...!

The same thing applied to promotion while I was in the British Army ....and in civil life...(when I used to have to "work" for a living)... :P...LOL...;D...!

...too much unnecessary bleedin' stress involved...trust me!... ;)...!

Paul...laid back...most of the time...observing the World around me....through rose-coloured spectacles...
...(and occasionally poking Politicians and Archbishops with my "pointy-stick"... [smiley=evil.gif]....)....LOL... ;D...!

...So much Joy!... [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]...!
