My real low-point with coffee came when I slowly reduced everyone in the office using decaff and then by Friday when everyone was looking whacked I put the super strong Brazilian beans in the pot. You've never seen anyone work so hard on a Friday :o ;D

Not the best of reasons to want to be a mod. You should want to be a mod because you like helping people not just 'cos you've got nothing better to do.

Exactly!

That's a shame! Tea is good for you. Lots of antioxidants and vitamins.

I wouldn't recommend bagged tea though. Blah! Loose leaf is the way to go ;)

You should be. According to your profile, you're only 14. Just a bit young to start drinking... ;)

I'm glad to hear it. If statistics are to be believed most 14 year-olds in the UK are already seasoned drinkers. http://www.bupa.co.uk/health_information/html/health_news/060106alcoholadvertising.html

What are the statistics for underage drinking in the UK?
By the age of 13, the majority of young people drink alcohol on a regular basis

All I can say is, wow...

Me too.  Why ruin a good night of driving by drinking? ;)

"You need to have a mature & reasoned approach to life."
Why the change in criteria/qualifications? ;D
As for nominating, for those who had such an idea, why submit these to the mods, anyway, rather than PM your intended nominee, yourself?

I can handle tea and coffee. As long as the former has rum in it and the latter Irish whiskey 8-)
I don't so much care for tea with anything but creamer, the last whiskey (or any alcoholic drink) I had was long ago in a WVC (whiskey, vodka, Coca Cola) and the Irish is already in me.

I have a few friends that have drinks from time to time. Unfortunately for them that is STRONGLY prohibited in my state. I wish they'd stop.

Trust me, those laws are there for a good reason, New Mexico has the highest DWI (or DUI) related deaths per year. only int he past 6 years have crackdowns started, and only now are starting to make a good impact. but from the statistics, it amazes me still that NM has people who exceed the 7 DWI offenses limit. nowadays we have DWI checkpoints every friday, saturday, and sunday, and a first offense will cost you $1000 fine, possible 90 day jail time, and a mandatory ignition Interlock (vehicle Breathlyzer).

so I voted and opted into the "drunk Taxi" so called here, to make sure everyone gets home safe.

ok enough of the blab, so you need a designated Moderator?

Ohh and we have to warn you that any new mods have to deal with the terrors of the bio-hazard that is my running shoes (even Porton Down won't touch 'em) and you have to buy the first round on a Friday and Saturday night ;) ;D

Peg on nose, pint in hand...

Cheers!
