I think I am very happy living in a country where this 'culture' of sueing each other over minor things is not in order. If my dry cleaners would loose my favourite trousers their insurancecompany would replace my trousers. At least I would get the money to buy me a new pair. And I would be happy with that.

Crash ;)

PS why would this nitwit rent a car every weekend? Don't tell me he doesn't own a car himself.......

Hey I've got a great idea (and it'll sort out those animal lib loons as well). Lets use all the lawyers for animal testing and save the little bunnies and monkeys! I'd love to pour experimental shampoos and stuff into lawyers eyes and use them for experimental medicines to see if they cause things like human balloons and stuff 8-) 8-) 8-)

Sounds like fun!

I love America its an awesome place to live but there are times, too numerous, where its an absolute embarrassment. sad thing is he will win his case and dry cleaning will no longer be inexpensive,  or there will be a waver when you take your dry cleaning in.

A frivolous suit is an open display of contempt for the law; it's  fraud, in my opinion.  What a tool!! ::)

Judges in America should be granted special powers for cases like this...

"You will be disbarred and  ordered to wear only underpants every day in public for an entire year. And take the bus .
Court dismissed (slams down gavel)!!"

He's claiming "mental suffering, inconvenience and discomfort." Is this because he's had to appear in court wearing only a shirt and his underwear? :o

It's not in order here in the US either, that's why there's the outrage.

I feel sorry for the Chungs. Like the article said, they came here to live out the American Dream; but this RETARD* had to come in and screw it up for them by making a VERY BAD example** of what we call the American Dream.

*Pardon me for using that word, but Pearson's actions warrants the use of said word.

**That's an understatement.

Yep it is pretty sad, imagine working hard to get ahead and some high falooting dink with a silver spoon stuck up his arse slaps you with a crazy lawsuit. Saddest thing of all is he will win, and all us hard working Americans will loose. ( middle class wooping boys)

:P  I got nothing here...  This is just too stupid.  It's right up there with the cops who tasered the 80+ year old woman.

If I were the judge in this case, I'd order the dry cleaners to scrounge up his pants or provide him a new suit that closely approximates the pattern of the pants in question, and tell the lawyer to like it or shut up. It's idiots like this clown that give lawyers a bad name and cause the prices of everything we buy to continue to spiral upward. He ought to be disbarred for gross stupidity...

The cleaners found his pants around two weeks later. They even offered him thousands of dollars for the mistake. The pants. BTW, cost around $800.
The lawyer is also a judge and there is talk of his being disbarred. Let's hope they do the right thing.

You know I could almost understand if the pants were never found and the law suit was for the exact amount that the pants cost, but this is ridiculous. If there isn
