The Day After Tomorrow, don't get me started on that, apparently, if there is a huge blizzard and ice storm with temperatures so low that everything is frozen on contact, we can just call up Dennis Quaid, the intrepid arctic explorer, and he can walk us from Philidelphia to New York in a matter of hours with no major problems, unless of course, there's wolves in the streets of New York. ::)

I have heard too much of this global warming junk. I think in about 20 years or so this will all be forgotten because I heard in the 70s, it was global cooling. Everybody thought we were all gonna die of arctic temps reaching down in the US.  :o :o :o :o Don't listen to any of those people who scare you into believing in global warming.  8-)

Oi!  The global warming scare has gotten huge!

I do believe that toxins are clogging the air and that they do affect the ability of the atmosphere to filter UVs out.  But I guarantee that we're NEVER going to actually affect the world as much as Waterworld or The Day After Tomorrow would have anyone believe.

Humanity's collective ability to believe in almost anything is equaled by its ability to not believe in almost anything.

Brilliant. ;) That would make an excellent sig. Been looking for a new one.

It is one of the more clever things I've ever said... when you think about it, the two usually go together. :D

Feel free to use it... for a small fee, of course. ;)

The only annoying thing to me about "Global Warming" is the fact that the grass in my back garden has continued to grow throughout the Winter....
...which means...
...I have now got to spend mega-bucks on a new petrol driven Lawn Mower, to cope with the increased  grass growth....
..and therefore add to the effect of Global Warming with my Trusty Lawn-Mower's exhaust fumes...

...it will never end....trust me... :o...!

Paul...up to my arm-pits in grass...and Wildebeest.... :'(...!

channel 4 and dispatches just seem to hype everything, and will go against anything the government ever say, because they are basicly a$$ holes....

i personaly ignore everything said by politicians about reducing carbon footprints and all that baloney. if they want to take a massive step towards Co2 emisions kill all the cows in (i think this is the right part of the US) san diego valley (somewhere in california if i remember correctly). i read a while back that the hundreads of thousands of cows release more Methane (one of the greenhosue gases) in a day that New York does or something stupid like that.

My heroes.

If all the world talks about global warming there *has* to be something about it.
Not that we're all gonna die soon, but that the way we live *somehow* influences the climate.

What about living a little more energy conserving?

My take on the whole global warming thing is that it is a natural thing that happens constantly, however we may be contributing to it in some small part. Small part as in tiny, or miniscule. One way to see that this has happened before is to simply watch the weather report on the news. Notice that when they give the highs and lows for the day they also show the record highs and lows (at least my local stations do). Most of the record highs seem to have been set in the 20's and 30's. The other thing is that as it gets warmer in some places, it gets cooler in others. A better name for this natural phenomenon would be "Climate Fluctuation", but that doesn't make as much money or sound as scary. ::)

Alot of people talking is hardly conclusive.

I remember after Hurricane Katrina, the man-made global warming advocates predicted 2006 would be a disasterous year for hurricanes, and it would all be due to man-made global warming.  2006 ended up being a quiet year for hurricanes.

Oh yea, heard about the gloabl warming discussion that was to take place a couple of weeks ago in Colorado?  It was canceled due to blizzard!  bada-bing!  :D
