Couldn't agree more. I went for a walk in the beautiful sunshine this morning. I couldn't help noticing that most of the people passing me either had an earpiece firmly plugged into their shell-like lug'oles or were holding one of them mobile phone contraptions up to them. They were all in their own little world & seemed bilssfully unaware of anyone around them or the sheer beauty of an Autumn morning in the sunshine.

Another thing I couldn't help noticing was that none of these people were over a certain age. All the old codgers like me were just happy to be out in the open air & pass the time of day with real people. I can't imagine where it will all end.

What I do is just not weat the iPod earphones... I use Sony ones.... So thiefs don't think I have an iPod and they don't steal it...and iPod earphones suck...

Well so far, I have installed about 1500 songs that I had previously ripped from my CD collection and about a dozen animated shorts, plus a full length movie.  I am getting seasons 1 and 2 of 'Lost' as we speak...  ;D

When you are travelling with your IPod, listen to albums and then turn it off.  When it has been off for a few hours, it will RECHARGE itself a little!  I don't know why this is, but it works with every one I have ever seen . . .

Headphones... if I walked around with an MP3 player I'd look funny I have these 1970 headphones (Absolutly huge) I plan on getting a creative eventually, tired of CDs on my stereo, be easier to run a few cables to the Receiver and be done with CDs

Me too. Im 14 and I still walk around school with my chunky-assed headphones on. If people laugh at me I threaten to bludgeon them with the headphones; they stop teasing immediately
