That would have to be proved in court, and also proven that it has hurt the reputation of the person involved.
This couldn't be proven if the name of the boss was never posted as Helms states.

So unless this is proven in a Court of Law, she has been fired on no legal basis. And she deserves to be compensated for her loss.

Two rules of thumb.

ALWAYS assume that whatever you write on the internet will exist in a publicly accessable medium.....indefinately.

NEVER type or post anything from work that has the potential to violate that company's employee conduct policies.  Even if you're posting to your blog, the traffic can still be captured.
