As been said many times you cant compare Europe to the US that well. Different taxes, different import rates, different life styles....... :P Also from what I have read before its higher octane then our standard....standard around here is 87 octane currently at $2.90 and climbing. The 97 octane is at $3.18+ a gallon...
Our new motor has a 90ltr tank!
90 liter tank....equals 19.8 gallon tank.........dont feel bad mines a 23.5 gallon tank ::)
How far does that 90 liters last though....converted to miles ??? My 106.8 liter lasts a whopping 250 miles and thats pushing the limit ;)
The main thing that ticks me off the most is that 2 years ago it took about $30 to fill it after coasting in to the station on fumes....now if i do that....to top it off would be around $70. $40 increase in 2 years......complete and utter price gouging >:( Simple as that....i dont care where you are. :-/ Unfortunatly the only way to kill the problem would be to not buy fuel....but that would mean a lot of people loosing jobs......cant go without fuel........therefore the oil companies have everyone in there grasp.....and they know it..........this isnt going to stop.....those oil exects have to afford to buy a new car for every day of the year ::)
What i find funny is that everyone thinks its the government doing it....hello....oil....just like food....is buisness...not government....only thing governent really has control over is the taxes....Oil companies control the price making it as high or low as they well please and unfortunatly it seems to be higher and higher

They are billionaires....why the hell should they care if normal people cant afford their product
