I think that Curling is the only sport, where there aren't any doping..
but I think them who invented Curling, must have been on something..

for that is a pretty crazy idea!

I think it must had been at a party, where three drunk men are going out on a frozen lake..

Drunk man1: Hey Jim, if you throw that ham over here, then Ben can sweep in front of the ham, and then you should try to make the ham stop, where I'm gonna puke now.. huuurgh...

;D ;D ;D

I still fully belive, that this is how curling was invented!

There are only two forms of sport:

1) Close examination of the Female form.
2) A name given to Australians; as in "Evenin' Sport. How's Sheila today?.."

...any thing else is a total waste of energy....
...trust me... ;)...!

I'm still living in vain hope that if we British continue to fail in competitive running, jumping, swimming, kicking/hitting balls, etc, etc, we will finally pack it all in, and we can all go out for walks in the countryside instead of sitting on our arse's, glued to the dreaded "Tele"... ;)... ;D...!
LOL...!

Paul..in the middle of a field, stepping in Cow-crap... :o...!

Come come Fozzer, the British Empire was built using cricket!
All we did was find some country we wanted and send two boats, one with a pair of cricket teams on it and the other loaded with heavily armed soldiers.
The cricket team would land on the beach and start playing. The natives would come and watch this strange event and fall asleep (as is usual at all cricket matches), then the soldiers would land and we could claim the country for the King/Queen by the traditional planting of a flag in a natives chest ;D :)
Of course now everyone we conquered this way is kicking our botties at cricket.... heigh ho ::) ;D

..Cricket... :o...!

Who was the bleedin' masochist who declared that the cricket ball should be manufactured from a block of reinforced concrete, instead of a soft, cuddly, non-lethal ball of foam rubber... :'(...!
...a dangerous game, if ever there was one...>:(...!

LOL...!

To quote the late great George Mikes "Europeans think that life is a game, the English think that cricket is a game!" ;D

That isn't fair guys at the Summer Olympics we've consistantly been winning more medals over the last decade.
We've improved in athletics, dominated (briefly) in cycling, and kicked botty in mens hockey, and as for boxing anyone remember a certain silver medal? Britain is FINALLY coming out of a slump as the government has finally realised it should help support out athletes like all the other countries do 8)

I'd say 1 silver medal argues otherwise. They could have put more time andmoney into the winter olympics but dont. The British ice hockey team is ranked 24th and could have qualified for the olympics but they couldn't get the funding to do it. Sports might not be important to people like Fozzer and the older generation, but to the younger ones amongst us, we enjoy them its good for the general public to support them, and its good for the athlete's to win at them.

A goood theory, But I always thought that curling was invented by a mother trying to get her kids to go out and play. She just grabbed three randome household items, 2 brooms and a tea kettle, and said, "here play with these".
