Using the kind of weapons that I wished I, there would be nothing left of a snake like that after I got through with it ;D

But, even if I were to only use my rifle, it would still get more holes in it that it would have ever bargain for ;)

My little home defense weapon puts out 7.62 X 39 FMJ and has a laser designator. So if that monster showed up in my neighborhood, especially with all the small children around. It would be one BIG dead snake.  ;)

Not bad. My rifle fires .223/5.56 rounds, and even though I use the regular sites, after enough rounds, the end results are the same ;D

LOL, oh I can fire the weapon normally with open sights or scope. The laser is more for accuracy at close range when sighting is difficult. That and if I was starring down a monster snake, I'd be shaking like a dog shitting bones and I'd hate to miss.  ;)

LMAO, if that snake could swallow my big ass whole, it would need some serious fiber to pass all that.... ;D

Which reminds me, I need to buy a few more boxes of ammo. It sure can go fast ;)

Where is the thumbs up smiley dude at, cause you both would get a handfull of them  ;D ;D ;D Even though a 12 GA would be the correct weapon of choice, if needed.

This part of the article really got me- "A python's bite is not poisonous but would be very painful."I believe the part about being very painful would fall into the no shit category.... ::)
After its bite and completing its digestion, that's the precise category that the bitten would fall into (and/or out as). :o 8)

I guess I'll take the voice of the minority here and say 'damn shame'. I personally like snakes quite a bit - they're beautiful and fascinating predators. The python was just doing what pythons do. The electric fence did its job of course but its still a sad end. :(

You wouldn't fire all 30 rounds(Or how many your magazines hold, and how many magazines you have on hand ;D) at it just to make sure?

Yep, I have 30 round magazines and would only fire until it was good and dead....mmmm....maybe 10 rounds to make sure.... ;D

Would you really shoot it? Naaaa, it looks to me to be only 10 - 12 ' long.

To protect the neighborhood children or my family, yes in a heartbeat. The article said it was over 4 meters or 13'+..... :o
;D

I normally wouldn't have a problem with snakes. I've seen a Burmese Python up close and even held it. That little fellow was 10' and was extremely beautiful. It's when they are big enough to swallow children that I get a bit nervous.  ;)

As long as they're in small glass cages, they're just fine ;D

I guess someone should have told it to cook its food before it eats it. Then, I've also heard humans being told the same thing ::). 8)

Dude! I can stand scary humans but animals REALLY push the boundaries. Thats etch! I agree with you all. Get a weapon and pump a clip into that thing! Heck maybe a whole box! Time to introduce that snake to Mr B. Ullet and Mr MG.42 hehehe!
