I would just love my altimeter calibrated in "Leaping from Gravity".
My Vacuum gauge calibrated in "Oodles Of Suck".
My cylinder head temperature calibrated in "Amount of Cosiness"
My air speed gauge calibrated in "Getting there: Fast/Slow".
My fuel gauge calibrated in percentage of "Beer In Glass".

...and the cost of my AVGAS paid in "Cow Turds".

Now wouldn't that make a nice change from "Metric" measurement...;)...?

Paul... 8)...!

(Weight is 154 Cholesterol's, and Height is 5.7 Leaping From Gravity).
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Hi Andrew...!

16 Ounces = 1 Pound.
14 Pounds = 1 Stone.
2 Stones = 1 Quarter.
4 Quarters = 1 Hundredweight.
20 Hundredweight = 1 ton.

Here endeth the first lesson...

Thank goodness for Queen Victoria... ;D...!

Paul....what's all this Metric malarky... :o...?

Would the 160 stone be what's called a LONG ton?  (2,240 lbs, vs. 2,000 for a short ton?)

I could do up some of those gauges for FS. I might even be able to get an actual cow to provide with a more realistic AVGAS for you. ;)

In either case, it sounds like a heavy ton. :P

man I would switch to metric in a heartbeat. All measurements are a decimal away.
That's why it's also refered to as the decimated system. Hmn... spelling doesn't look correct. Oh, well, Fozzer and Hagar know what I mean. 8)

Only insofar as it's a correct analogy to the bastardisation and simplification of a perfectly good system by the Americans. :P ;)
