For the UK crowd: Apparently the building that has the servers for the Labour party has been hit by the blast, the website is dead.

Hospital press conference.

39 casualties arrived at hospital

37 minor *bruises, glass injuries*
1 under observation
1 for respiritory support with severe injuries.

OK, and there were 10 tanker trucks on the site... not to mention the night guards that were in the buildings (as the whole area around the plant has been hit by the initial explosion / shockwave / fireball)
I think that the number of casualties will rise

fire is now 'under control' (read as: no more explosion danger), but they are planning to let it burn out...

I did say most accurate. Accuracy is not a word I associate with the 'news media'. It's not what it used to be but I still trust Auntie Beeb over most of the others. :P :D

On the BBC website they said it could be heard in Holland.

I live in Guildford, in my student house, about 100miles south and look at the pics i've taken:

It is very dark outside and has been all day.  No doubt it will get darker. :o

Interesting Delta. I also read it had reached parts of Hampshire. No sign of it in Sunny Worthing yet, thank goodness. Things like this can affect the weather for some considerable time.

Check out the photos on the BBC website ........ there's one which rather graphically shows the size of this fire. You'll know which one when you see it.

That one was only taken a few hours after the explosion aswell.  It has been a while now.  I suspect it is twice as big now. :o

I just looked at the pictures on the BBC site. :o It looks like a volcanic eruption, I'm amazed that no one was killed.
