I was referring to mobius' quote:
Shoot, couldn't they wait to destroy the world until after Christmas.

Jesus was born on the 25th of December. Christmas Day.

As for the site, Tweek is right. It has boring text and boring colors.

I always thought that was one heck of a coincidence....
I know, I know, just kidding. ;D

First line:
Why did the ancient Mayan or pre-Maya choose December 21st, 2012 A.D., as the end of their Long Count calendar?

They realised that they were only gonna live on average until they were about 40ish, so they thought 'Screw it - I won't be here anyway'.

They also stopped recycling there magazines aswell.......

On the other hand they could've just stopped it there so that it would pyscholgically scar all of us 21st century guys - y'know as a joke.

;D

TSC.

PS: Due to certain recent hostile threads here at the 'V' I would like to apologise in advance if I offend any Mayans visiting this site.

Jesus was born on the 25th of December. Christmas Day.

the answer to that is to be found in the old jewish calendar

like the jewish pashaw is meant to coincide with easter, christmas coincides with the jewish new year.

actually jewish new year is suposed to be set on winter solsitude, but because of flaws in the calculation it had drifted 3 days when the date for christmas was set.
also, the jewish calendar day begins with nightfall on the preciding day, that's where christmas eve comes from.
the reasonable man adjusts to his souroundings, while the unreasonable man insists on adjusting his souroundings to him.

therefore all progress is due to the unreasonable man.
